Reinventing the Infor Brand

OVERVIEW

The Infor creative team set out to define an authentic brand for Infor that would work for the company holistically and scale to all the individual business units (Industries & solution areas) that are part of the Infor family.

THE PROCESS

We began by defining what parts of Infor made us unique, which allowed us to pinpoint a few things we knew we wanted the campaign to envelop.

Through this process, we established— Infor isn’t just enterprise software— we’re about understanding customers and their needs. We’re about new ways of getting work done and embracing the future. We’re about businesses moving forward and staying ahead.

The launch

We executed the campaign across a variety of advertising locations to interact with as many audiences globally as possible.  Placements included international airports, Madison Square Garden, Barclays Center, Outdoor Kiosks, print advertising, social media posts, banner ads, and trade show booths.

THE SOLUTION

The Creative design team developed the current Infor brand, specifically its visual design, in a way that allowed other designers to build off its components and incorporate them into various outputs.

THE DESIGN SYSTEM

Documenting the system and defining the visual language was a massive part of our process as we continued to scale our design once the campaign succeeded.

Part of the system was a library of 500+ icons, graphics, and illustrations that I built and maintained. This library has afforded us more flexibility as we grow the brand and visual language. It has also increased the velocity of the production design team as they create all the graphic outputs needed by our industry solution marketing teams.

Extending the LIBRARY

After a year under the new brand, we continued to extend the visual language for all the industries under the Infor umbrella with the following key visuals. These visuals would serve as starting points and contain visual building blocks that could be used in many different patterns.

Design velocity, consistency, and brand identity have always been guiding pillars as we evolve the system.
